Welcome to Moltengems! My name is Shelley Plant and I am the sole designer for Moltengems. I am a Lampwork Artist and Jewelry Designer. I live in beautiful White Rock, BC. and I specialize in custom work mostly, but I do carry some designed pieces on hand. I have been a glass artist for 8 years and I shop long and hard for only the very best of Swarovski Crystals, Bali and Sterling Silver, Pearls and other components for my designs. I have made designer Lampwork Beads for jewelry designers all over the world and it makes me proud to know that others enjoy my work as much as I enjoy designing it for them.
I began this passion by creating jewelry and found a love for Lampwork glass. After purchasing my first set of Lampwork beads, I was intrigued and had to try to challenge myself in creating them. I took and intoductory class at a local glass studio and I was hooked. I came home with my torch and gas and from that day on, you couldn’t tear me away from it!
I feel blessed to have found a passion in this gorgeous glass and I hope that my love for it shows in my designs. All of my designs are one of a kind and no two beads are ever exactly the same. I will do my best to re-create popular designs for private orders.
